Nearing the end and Aloha

Gayle's last night.  She leaves tomorrow.

Milinda and I take Gayle to the airport and we head north from Kahului around to rhe west side of the island and through unfamiliar territory.

First stop, Bruce Turnbill's Studio.

Around Kahakuloa Head

Through little isolated Kahakuloa Village

Then on to the Olivine Pools.  (This is where you wanted to go, Kila).  We did not down for a soak.....next time.

Next we stop at the Nakalele Blowhole

And then on to Kapalua.  I have wanted to snorkel here for years, but never came up this far.

This has been a wonderful drive and we've discovered many places to return to on the next trip.

Home as the sun sets.  After heavy rains during the night, Monday it is to murky and rough to snorkel and Tuesday is the same.  Milinda left yesterday after we had a great lunch at Eskimo Candy.  I spent time on the beach today and walked up to a few stores.  Tonight was my last sunset!

Aloha Maui until next time.  This is one of my favorite places in the world!!!

Wonderful birthday for me

Started out yesterday with a walk down the beach for a latte at the Whale's Tail

Then we had a wonderful snorkel from the boat ramp to our sandy beach.  Tired of seeing turtles and coral??  Well, today I am putting videos on my blog that I took yesterday with my underwater camera.  Let's see if this blog will accept them.  Well, it did not let me select the videos, so here are a few photos of more magical turtles.

Last night we went to Cafe Ole for dinner.  I had blackened Mahi Mahi.

A wonderful birthday with friends and many telephone and Facebook messages.  I feel very cherished and loved.
