Machu Picchu!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We heard that the crowds begin to leave Machu Picchu around 2pm.  So back to Gringp Bill's to change our clothes around and to grab our packs.  Up the mountains in a bus is an adventure in itself.

We got a guide or I should say, he got us.  Again, we lucked with Felix and spend until closing with him.

Here is the road that the buses take up to the mountain.  They're big buses and they go both ways.  We started down there at the Urabamba River and came up and up to here.

When we first feasted our eyes on this site we were dumbstruck!!!!  It is truly one of the wonders of this world.  It can make one weep with the beauty, with the realization of what a feat this was to build, and with the feelings these long dead Incas involk.  This site is a sacred place and I could feel that.  And no pictures can show it for what it is.

View toward Machu Picchu Mountain and the mountain we will attempt to climb tomorrow.  We don't know how far we will get, but it is worth the try.  

And we want to go to the Watch Tower tomorrow

If we are not too tired after the ascent of Machu Picchu Mountain, I want to walk to the sun gate which is at that notch in the ridge.....you can see part of the trail.

Another amazing day and I guess I better get to bed if we want to catch the bus at 6am
